The #MeToo Project
Movements such as #MeToo and #WhyIDidntReport brought survivors' accounts onto social media at a scale researchers had never seen. We analyze these posts to understand who participates, what harassment people describe, and the relationship between victims and perpetrators.
Our work examines why many survivors do not report, the barriers Bangladeshi women face in joining the #MeToo movement, and how automated methods could track reports of sexual violence.
