Naeemul Hassan founded the Computational Journalism Lab in 2019. The lab connects computing and journalism to study how information is produced, shared and understood, with work spanning misinformation, tools for journalists, media framing, health communication and AI for news. Recognized with the University of Maryland's Exemplary Researcher Award in 2023.
